Where to grab a copy?
This pundit highly recommends finding a copy you can borrow (i.e., from a friend or library), instead of immediately buying a new book. Trees are generally used to make the paper in the books we read so let’s be mindful.
If not possible, that’s only when one should consider buying a new book, and make sure to support your local bookshops. And online shopping (i.e., Amazon or whatever online bookstore serves closest to you) must only be your last resort.
Happy reading!

Why read “Six of Crows” duology
Heart-racing, mind-blowing, well-paced rising action, an explosive climax then a breath-stealer of a denouement that pushes the reader to keep going and pick up the 2nd book, and go through all that all over again.
L.B.’s choice of utilizing multiple POVs in each chapter worked so well in creating a unique, holistic persona for each of the characters. This made it easier to connect and to be charmed by them.
Another thing that I think worked is the choice of characters itself. In stories, it is natural to see a fantasy world through the eyes of members of the royal family or anybody who’s a who in that society. So, it’s always refreshing to be introduced to a new world through the eyes of its ‘misfits’. And that for me makes the story more real.
I’m also but a nobody and to have other people understand the drive behind my decisions is rare, and it’s nice to be there for these guys even if they’re fictional characters.
It’s also a plus that the romantic tension between the characters is so thick, that you feel it right out of the pages, and I cannot get enough of it. A slow-burn. An enemy-to-lovers situation. The author chose her tropes well and I am here for all of it.
Drawbacks of “Six of Crows” duology
This series has been gracing my bookstagram feed for years and I never batted an eye.
Why?
It’s because I tried reading it before, and the POV choice in the first chapters didn’t sit well with me thus preventing me from transitioning into the story’s world. That is always my reading pet peeve, and so I ended up putting it in the DNF pile for awhile.
There are definitely no regrets though that I gave it a second chance because this series has become one of my best reads for 2022. ✨
